The secondary steel installation campaign for OranjeWind has successfully started. This campaign includes transport and installation of boat landings, main access platforms, and internal cassette, upper ladders and monopile covers to the monopiles. As the project’s foundations don’t have transition pieces the secondary steel components will be installed direct on each monopile.

The secondary steel installation campaign follows shortly after the monopile installation and is being carried out by DEME. Later this year, the company will also transport and install approximately 114 kilometres of inter-array cables. The cables will connect OranjeWind’s 53 wind turbines to the offshore substation in the Dutch North Sea.
